Can I just auto-generate a BFMP once?
If you're on an annual subscription, downloads are unlimited. You can generate an up-to-date Biofouling Management Plan (BFMP) or Record Book (BFRB) anytime, including region-specific formats for New Zealand, Australia, and California.
If you only paid for a one-time BFMP setup and didn’t subscribe, you’ll just receive a single version (no future updates or region-specific formats).
Do I need to link our AIS to ShipCarePro?
You don’t have to. ShipCarePro connects directly to Spire AIS to auto-generate and update your vessel’s operational profile — using smart logic to calculate key operational averages. This includes:
- Speed logs
- Underway vs. static tracking
- Salinity data (e.g., brackish, ocean, fresh)
- Climate zone detection (polar, tropical, temperate, sub-tropical)
Do I need to update my BFMP manually?
Just upload inspection or cleaning reports when you get them. The platform will auto-update your BFMP and BFRB with inspection, cleaning, anti-fouling coating, and MGPS data—fully formatted and audit-ready.
Is there a digital Record Book?
Yes. It’s downloadable, timestamped, grouped by activity type, and formatted to meet IMO Part I & II structure—ready for any audit or inspection.
How do I share docs with regulators?
